Infrared Alarm

The infrared alarm to prevent human intrusion is composed of pyroelectric infrared sensor and alarm controller. When someone enters the range to be protected, the sensor generates an electrical signal and transmits it to the controller, and the controller sends the alarm signal to the terminal through signal processing.

The core of the infrared alarm is the infrared pyroelectric sensor, also known as the human body induction sensor, which is a sensor that can detect the infrared rays emitted by the human body and convert it into an electrical signal output. Any object above absolute temperature produces electromagnetic radiation—infrared, but the wavelengths and energy of infrared rays radiated by objects of various different temperatures are different. The higher the surface temperature of an object, the more energy it radiates. Through the filter in the rectangular window at the top of the sensor, the wavelength of the strongest infrared rays radiated by the human body just falls in the center of the response wavelength (7~14μm) of the filter window, and its peak wavelength is about 9.4 μm, so that to sense the presence of the human body.

Can the Two Voltages of Mq-7 Exist All the Time, or Do They Need to Be Powered Alternately? if It is an Alternate Power Supply, What is the Appropriate Power Supply Time?

It requires alternate power supply. Please check the information on the product manual. This sensor is powered by 1.5V and 5V alternately. The low temperature and low voltage (1.5V) state can detect CO, and the high voltage (5V) is the desorption process. The recommended 5V voltage duration is 60s, 1.5V voltage duration is 90s to alternately supply power. Since it is a desorption process at 5V, it is normal for the voltage to drop when CO is 150ppm.
