Power System Temperature Monitoring
Temperature is a very important parameter in industrial production, monitoring and control of temperature are required in many occasions. In the power system, the high-voltage transmission line is a fault high-incidence area. Due to the increase of the power load, the sudden event of the heating of the power equipment occurs frequently, which affects the output quality, production efficiency, safe and reliable operation of the power. Therefore, the automatic monitoring of temperature has become an important part of safe production in the power industry.
Many equipment accidents in the power system are initially caused by abnormal heating, and many substations with a large number of electrical equipment have implemented with unattended working conditions. If these equipment are under high load for a long time, the phenomenon of temperature rise often occurs. In the early stage of heating, the naked eye is often unable to detect it. When the temperature increases cumulatively, thermal failure will eventually occur.
At present, non-contact infrared temperature measurement technology is the most effective detection tool in the field of preventive maintenance of power systems, which can quickly and accurately detect whether there is an abnormal temperature problem in power distribution equipment.
Using infrared thermopile sensors to monitor the temperature of operating electrical equipment, it is possible to directly observe whether there is a suspected fault in the equipment. By combining with the Internet of Things, cloud computing and other technologies, the monitored equipment temperature and other abnormal events in the form of digital signals. It can effectively help power workers solve thermal faults and defects in the operation of substation equipment, and ensure the safe and stable operation of electrical equipment.
Winsen Technology MRTD-3011 is a fully integrated digital thermopile sensor with readout circuit I2C. The product is based on MEMS process and adopts TO-39 package. It has built-in high-precision 20-Bit Sigma delta ADC, and ENOB can reach to 16-bit. It has wide application in industrial field temperature measurement, power management system, temperature measurement and control, interactive power control, and other industrial fields.
MRTD-3011 is a non-contact type digital thermopile sensor with I2C output. The thermopile chip is based on MEMS technology, consists of hundreds of thermocouples connected in series. Using Seebeck principle, when there is a temperature difference between the target and the environment, the sensor gives the corresponding voltage output, therefore detecting the existence of the target or the temperature of the target. This sensor can be working in the temperature range of -20~85℃, and can measure during the range of -20~+250℃.
