Portable detector solution for gas detection in septic tanks
The septic tank is a device for processing feces and filtering. The principle is that the solidified material is decomposed at the bottom of the pool, and the hydrated objects in the upper layer enter the pipeline and flow away, preventing the pipeline from clogging and providing solidified objects (feces and other garbage)with enough time to hydrolyze.
In recent years, news about the explosion of septic tanks has occurred frequently, and the reason for the explosion of septic tanks is nothing more than the production of toxic and harmful gases such as biogas, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide from the sludge deposited in the septic tanks. In an enclosed area with no air circulation, flammable gases such as methane or biogas may cause fire or even explosion if sparks are accidentally generated by external power.
In order to achieve the purpose of safety forecasting, there are two methods are popular now, one is a portable gas detector, and the other is a networked gas detector. MEMS combustible gas sensor is using MEMS micro-fabrication hot plate on a Si substrate base, gas-sensitive materials used in the clean air with low conductivity metal oxide semiconductor material. When the sensor exposed to gas atmosphere, the conductivity is changing as the detected gas concentration in the air. The higher the concentration of the gas, the higher the conductivity. Use simple circuit can convert the change of conductivity of the gas concentration corresponding to the output signal.
